Yes those are Coqui tree frogs , active when it rains. Taper off in the cool evenings. We are IN coffee farm and pasture country. Cows pass by, wild pigs come along the secure fence, And Hawks call out as they soar. Its country sounds. We are happy you stayed with us and enjoyed yourself. Wish I could say you won't hear tree frogs- they are part of country Hawaii. Honor to host you.

This was a painful experience. I have never seen a family fight and implode before my very eyes. I did take your Mother, Father and Brother into town as they told me, you the car renter, was not going to take them anywhere and since they spoke broken English its the least I coud do, I guess our hospitality was focused on the three family members, who were stuck with no place to go and no way to get there. Glad I could help. We really did not appreciate the door slamming when the argument occured.We tried to be a good host but you rolled in with full on family fight- Really!

Yes Its just natural to put put some snorkle equipment with Two Step just 2 miles away so people can enjoy world class snorkling and perhaps swim with a spinner dolphin pod.

So glad you enjoyed yourself We use ceiling fans which actually cool well. We have a strong internet. We figured our guests get out and do things directly, swim with dolphins, have dinner, hike, visit a coffee farm, Visit Volcano. So we do not have TV,, and true enough people get out and do, We internet people can get lots of news ans shows. We enjoy hosting you and serving world class Kona coffee direct farm the coffee farmer.

Yes we are rural. Not much development do need a car. Kona town itself is less than 20,000, Big Island is mostly rural, If you want a few more people try Honolulu they have over a million people there. Perhaps both worlds are enchanting in their own way. So great to have a choice. Weather great anyplace on Hawaii and Ocean always there.
