Charming boutique bed and breakfast with a view

While this boutique hotel is a bit of a hike from the town center, it is worth it. Be sure and bring an Italian phrase book, as the delightful proprietor speaks NO English! Surely the most memorable accommodations of our trip so far

Hotel dall'atmosfera incantevole

Il punto di forza dell'hotel è l'atmosfera, romantica e familiare al tempo stesso: è arredato come una villa d'altri tempi, con vista sulle colline e sul mare di Capri. Il personale è molto cordiale. La colazione è abbastanza buona e viene servita in camera senza costi aggiuntivi, anche se va ordinata la sera prima. La struttura ha qualche problema: quando sono arrivato, era una giornata molto fredda e il riscaldamento era rotto. Il personale ha comunque rimediato mettendo a disposizione stufe e un camino, che però non si poteva accendere e quindi il freddo si è sentito comunque. La posizione dell'hotel è buona e vicina al centro di Capri, peccato che sia un po' difficile da trovare (le persone facilmente lo confondono con altri hotel e danno indicazioni sbagliate) e da raggiungere. Per un hotel di Capri, il rapporto qualità/prezzo è buono.

Not so nice as expected

500 m to walk with the luggage.No information to order luggage service at the harbor. The cleaning staff is responsible for the reception, Many hours nobody is there, no service available. The room was ok but not the cleanest, and outside / the terrace looked terrible. A renovation is needed. The room was quiet ok.

Disappointing Attitude

We picked Capri to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and chose this hotel for it's write up and view. We were in the off season but when we arrived, and rang the gate bell there was no answer and the door was locked. We finally phoned them! Someone let us in, registered us and took us to our room. We were given a form for breakfast including time - no explanation as to where it would be... When we went back out an hour later, our passport info was still laying on the desk in full view. We suspect we were the only guests - but no upgrade. They'd had a wind storm, and they cleaned the balcony after we arrived. Next morning breakfast time came and went. We went looking..stuff piled everywhere, no staff, no breakfast. It finally showed up some 45 minutes later...cold and unimpressive and no apologies. It's very retro and has a nice view, but I'd give it a miss...staff just doesn't care.

Great place with better organization.

It was in a nice and calm neighborhood. However, we had to carry our luggage on a rough road since there is no transportation possibility to the place where the hotel is situated. Also, the housekeeper almost missed our coming so without a bit of luck we would have to wait in front of the villa alone without keys and a phone number. However with a little organizational improvement the place would be great. By the way my name is Elisheva and not Elisheza

Amazing view from the balcony and in-room breakfast was a nice touch. Room decor is a bit dated, however the bed was big and comfortable.

Beautiful location

Hotel run by a lovely Italian lady who could not speak any English and I couldn't speak Italian. Interpreter needed to be contacted at main hotel Christian Regina to check in .No taxis can drive down to the villa. Only theses little porter vehicles that cost you 5 euro. But you still have to walk. An taxi from. main port grand marina to Capri town can range from 10-18 euro haggle for flat fare (for a short 5 minute trip to the top.) when you can only go a certain distancing havvto waLk he rest of the way .Cable car is 180 euro one way Contental tall breakfast included very Carby Old style keys ere difficult to maneauvour. Long way out from main drag do stay too long their shop owners and cage owners burnt out and edgy not pleasant.

Tres bel hotel de charme

l'hotel calypso est très bien situé, la décoration très soignée et l'accès ravissant via un petit chemin fleuri... La terrasse et la vue sur la mer sont également très appréciables. Le personnel est très sympathique. L'ensemble en fait un hôtel plein de charme et extrêmement agréable.

El único punto en contra es que no avisan de antemano que no tiene recepción el hotel y al llegar allí nos encontramos con un cartel que indicaba que había que llamar a un teléfono o ir a otro hotel por el que habíamos pasado varias calles antes cuando íbamos hacia este. La habitación es muy amplia con una gran terraza y excelente atención.

Peccato che mi sia toccata la stanza più sfigata, piccolissima....le altre sono bellissime, ampie e spaziose, la più bella è la BRIGITTE, prendete nota !!!. Ma la posizione è invidiabile, il terrazzino sul mare di Capri, poi....e si trova dietro al QUISISANA. La gentilezza del personale (Alex?) è stata impeccabile, così come la cortesia e la disponibilità. Professionali, sempre, anche fuori stagione.Grazie.

Villa Calypso - definite repeat

This was my wife and I's first time in capri. Being January, the island was very quiet, which we loved. Villa Calypso is located down a beautiful private walk with awesome views of the water. While still maintaining the island feel, The interior of the hotel is modern and stylish. The WiFi was the best I've seen, probably due to the fact that the router was literally outside our door. Breakfast was delivered each morning and personalized to our tastes. I had some mail delivered to the island and management was very accommodating

Le meilleur endroit de Capri

La villa est magnifique. Dès l'entrée, on sait que l'on va passer un séjour privilégiée, dans une villa typique de Capri, et on comprend ensuite que l'emplacement est idéal. Toutes les chambres disposent d'une terrasse avec vue sur la mer et la pinède, dans le côté tranquille de Capri (loin de la piazzetta, et côté piéton). La chambre que nous avions était la plus petite de celles proposées, mais disposait d'une grande salle de bain, d'un lit 180 et d'une terrasse de 15m2 d'angle avec une vue incomparable. Le petit déjeuner nous était livré tous les matins sur la terrasse par la femme de ménage, sans surcout. Nous avions accès à la magnifique piscine de l'hotel Vega, située à 2 pas. Aucune ombre au tableau donc pour notre séjour (attention toutefois aux moustiques le soir, et éviter de prendre de la charcuterie au petit déjeuner le matin pour éviter les guêpes!). Par conte, il semble que nous ayons eu de la chance que personne ne louait en même temps la chambre d'à côté, car nous soupçonnons une mauvaise isolation phonique. Un soir, une télé allumée s'entendait beaucoup ; elle semblait provenir de la chambre du dessous. Comme tout à Capri, éviter la pleine saison évite bien des problèmes... Les délimitation de terrasse sont assez légère également (bosquet de lauriers roses, qui n'isoleront donc pas la vue totalement ni les discussions). Nous avons béniéficié d'un tarif spécial pour notre séjour, ce qui a rendu la villa imbattable.

Fantastico hotel vicino al mare

Sono rimasta estasiata dal mio soggiorno a Capri a Villa Calypso. Le stanze sono confortevoli e la vista sul mare è a dir poco splendida. Il personale dell'hotel è molto disponibile soprattutto la signora Titina,la quale ogni mattina ci portava la colazione in camera e ci congliava i posti che dovevamo assolutamente visitare durante il nostro soggiorno.

Was given a room w/o AC and Wifi, Dirty Patio

Hotel Staff was very uninviting, did not go over any basic information, such as, AC control, breakfast details, Wifi, not to mention, when we booked an excursion, they almost got away with over-charging us, which was apparently a mistake (highly doubtful). They gave us a room where AC didn't work, and immediately upon our complain, acknowledged it as if they already knew, and were just hoping we wouldn't notice or say anything. They did the same thing when we asked about Wifi - acknowledging, that the room we were in, did not receive signal, and we would need to go into the lobby to use the internet. The only saving grace with this hotel was that it was a little cheaper (20 Euro) than the rest in Capri. I would suggest paying the extra. Also - the patio, balcony area was practically un-usable due to dirt, leaves, dirty cushions, etc. O yes, none of the phones worked in our room, we had luckily a local mobile phone we used to call the reception.
