The room was quaint , and the hotel very old we low beams and doors very good bed . We only had breakfast which was Ok . Location about 30 mins to Canterbury park and ride or get the 17 bus just outside the hotel

The pub is so nice the people lovely

We only did a one night stay , nice staff ,room was a little tired and ceiling paper falling off from a water leek,at some time in the past . We loved it all the same, the menu was limited but food was fresh and nice . The village was nice, to go to other pubs for a drink or a walk in the evening , We would visit again because the staff are so nice ,

If you are looking to stay at an authentic country inn this is the place for you! It was quaint and charming with a wonderful dinning area and bar. The room was fine but quite outdated but what it lacked the rest of the Inn made up for it. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was quiet good. The breakfast continental breakfast part was very basic but the made to order part was good. There is really not a lot in this little village so if you are trying to plan for a place to do a lot of things this may not be the right place but if you want an evening in a very down to earth and fun place I would highly recommend the Abbots Firesids.

Hotel u. Pub sind gut. Man mus nur wissen das dieses Haus ca. 1450 gebaut wurde, entsprechend niedrig sind die Türen, die Zimmer sind nicht groß und die Fußböden sind schief. Kurz gesagt, wers mag, eine Klasse Unterkunft.

Fabulous building of museum quality. Could do with a new bathroom suite, but clean. A wonderful place to stay with amazing open fire and very good cooked breakfast. Very rickety so wouldn't suit people who struggle to walk.

So much history attached to this place. Of particular note is the huge wooden carved fireplace which is said to be seven hundred years old. Lovely quiet village and beautiful countryside. The food was delicious and well presented. Also tried the local lager which was excellent.

Fabulous Hotel

Fantastic hotel to stay in. Went on a trip to Canterbury and stayed overnight at the Abbots. Room was gorgeous, staff very helpful and breakfast a must. Will definitely visit again.

Een fantastisch oude Inn uit 1431 (!)

Echt een adres om terug te komen. We hadden de oudste kamer in het hotel, alles loopt dan ook scheef, maar zo ontzettend sfeervol. Een uitstekend restaurant, waar we heerlijk hebben gedineerd.

Charming hotel and staff were excellent

A bit of a curate's egg - restaurant and staff were excellent - this very old building is full of charm but would not suit those less mobile. Lots of low beams and steepish stairs.

One night stay on our wedding anniversary

Lovely quirky rustic feel property that serves great food, has a lot of charm and is a great location for getting to the Eurotunnel, only 15 Min drive. Abbotts fireside is in the centre of a lovely little village, with a pretty chuch. I can not fault the place, Dinner was lovely with attentive but discreet staff. Our room was a superior right at the top of some steep narrow stairs. Tight for suitcases but added to he charm and we were well prepared for that. Breakfast was plentiful. Just loved the place.

Gorgeous countryside hotel.

Everything was just perfect: the location, the food, the room. The hostess is super friendly and very welcome. If you need to get away from the city, this is the place to visit. The village itself is very beautiful & quiet, lots of country walks & fields around. The building itself is 600 years old heritage, but in perfect condition, very well thought after. I’m definitely coming back

This place is gorgeous! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Their food selection is varied and delicious. Room is clean, comfortable, and adorable. The garden is relaxing as is the surrounding village. We didnt want to leave! The only miniscule issue was the weak watwr pressure, but the bath is nice and deep. If I ever get the chance, I will be back.

Wonderful place ,

Wonderful building in splendid location. Near Canterbury and Channel tunnel terminal. Charly and Mark couldn’t do enough for me. Dinner excellent as was breakfast.
