"I did a ton of research for our trip- me+3 teens. Wanted location that was midway and walkable for all the major spots- GG park to pier 39, Chinatown, Ferry Building, etc. Star Motel blew us away with the upgraded rooms, ample FREE parking spots, location, and flexibility for our check-out needs. 100% would recd to friends and stay again. We were in room 208- corner upstairs room- and loved it. Mini fridge, AC, new showers, sky light, and more. Loved our stay!"
"They had all our amenities and wants covered, free street parking on the weekends (3 hours max during the day on weekdays), and with the wonderful buffet breakfast and happy hour open bar/ food it was really a good deal. Room service was available 24/7 and was a great price. Best stay ever for us in the city."

"We’ve stayed at the Hotel Majestic several times and always enjoy our visits. The hotel is elegant, clean, and the retro charm creates such a unique and welcoming atmosphere. We especially love the coffee maker in the lobby—hot chocolate cartridges are such a fun touch!

It would be really helpful to have bedside lamps with built-in outlets or USB ports. You could still keep the vintage look by adding a retro-style lampshade. I ended up charging...

"This is a small but friendly hotel with a fondness for everything literary. We were drawn to it by its quirky theme and decor, something different from other hotels in the area. Desk staff and housekeeping were all very friendly, personable and helpful. It was nice to be able to walk into the attached coffee shop for caffeine and a breakfast sandwich. My wife appreciated that they have gluten free bread. "
"Hotel Kabuki was everything I expected based on the reviews! Convenient parking, clean rooms, Nari Restaurant was onsite with a bar and also a bar onsite! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable! Safety and convenient parking is very important to me when traveling in the City! Hotel Kabuki provided everything for our quick overnight stay! I will definitely make this my go-to hotel in the City! "
"It close to Union Square, up from the Powell BART station.
Its also close to all the major theaters. Next door is a high end Steak Place.

There is no fan provided, so be prepared in warmer months. The bathroom door is frosted glass and does not reach the ceiling. "

"I am a woman in my 60s and I was treated very kindly and upgraded to a king when I had booked a queen. I’m here for UCSF after a surgery and was pleasantly surprised at the neighborhood feel, convenience of restaurants, and walkability of the area. Love the free parking, the wonderful smaller square pillows that were so moldable and comfortable to sleep on, and how my needs were perfectly accommodated.
