"Overall, hotel is just ‘ok’. The room was clean, bed comfy. Options for pillow preference was great. Breakfast was the minimum, and not good. The staff are stoic, so their energy is a put off. "I had a few worries after reading Google reviews just before check-in, but my 10-night stay was absolutely fine (and great value). I booked a single room and got a double - even better, it was at the end of the building with a window opening to the outside instead of into the hallway. The extra space and fresh air was much appreciated for my long stay. The bed was comfy and the room had plenty of floor and surface space for all my stuff. There would be space for two, and though the bathroom door is glass, it's frosted and full-height so provides privacy. But only one side of the bed had a table and reading light. Great location - just off a main avenue with shops, cafes, restaurants, buses to everywhere right outside, and Subte stations for two underground lines within 10 mins walk. I felt safe walking alone as a woman even at night. Luggage was stored on a locked chain after checkout. Cleaning staff greeted me warmly in the hallways and the guy who checked me in was friendly. Points for improvement: - Room lighting is very dim, particularly over the desk. A desk lamp would help. - Comfier desk chair would be nice. - Lighting on the staircase could also be a bit brighter for safe climbing. - The shower door lets a lot of water out - the bathmat got soaked after only one or two showers, requiring daily changes. - Sheets/blanket and towels had some brown stains. - The way the bed is made with a sheet on top of the duvet folded under is annoying. - Only two pillows."

"This hotel was average, but certainly not to the standards of a 4 star hotel as its advertised. The breakfast was great as other reviews state, but that's the only thing I would rate above average. All of the pictures of this hotel seem to have been taken at least a decade ago and the property has not been maintained well. The rooms were very basic and the bathrooms were a bit grimy. Our shower had rust marks all over the walls (I hope it was rust), and grime all around the caulking. It would also get extremely damp and humid after anyone would shower and the walls and ceilings in the bathroom would drip with moisture for about 10-12 hours after a shower. The pool and outdoor area were also poorly maintained, I certainly would never consider swimming in that pool. If this were rated as a three star hotel I would consider it passable, but rating this hotel as 4 stars makes absolutely no sense to me given the state of the rooms, property, and amenities."
