My wife was having some medical issues and it was really difficult for her to climbed three flights of stairs. After explaining my situation to the manager he was unwilling to give us a room on the bottom floor. Parking is really difficult to find if you get back late.

Hello,Thanks for your comment. We have send a mail when you have book the room with the detail (Opening time, the ground of your room...)We can't read it for you, and it's to late when you arrive to make a change.Best regards
Overall a pleasant experience. The room is spacious and has a nice character. The location is great, just few steps from the pedestrian city centre area.
Overall the room was clean but not spotless clean ( I made the mistake to put my bag over the wardrobe…. And lots of dust came down). In general I would say great value for money
The hotel is an older, interesting property in a good part of the city. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was great. The owner, Isabella, was lovely and watched over our every need. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Super quaint hotel. Breakfast was great and a good value. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of character in the building that we don’t see in western Canada.
Owners were really nice, convenient and easy to talk to. Place was calm and quiet. I would highly recommend this place for future stays. I'll definitely stay there on my next trip
Very convenient for the centre of Caen and easy to find with a map. Lovely location near the chateau and a nice church, which is just visible from the quaint court yard outside some of the ground floor rooms and enclosed within the hotel. Medieval building, so lots of character. Breakfast was an additional cost to the price of the room. Our family room was adequate and had a TV and the beds were comfy.
Great value and very convenient for onward travels
Great value for money. An attractive hotel with basic but comfortable rooms. We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to explore the old city and have breakfast in one of the many cafes. We were made very welcome.
Very good location, reception staff was very welcoming and was on hand to give map of Caen and relevant information about restaurants nearby.
Breakfast was very good too and again the staff made sure that there was always a supply of food (croissants etc..)
Well located to see the major historical sights in Caen on foot, near major shopping and eateries, but in a quiet narrow street. The service was superb. While my single room was small, it was well laid out and efficient use of the space.
Lovely old building, small room was a bit cramped and overall lighting was poor. Room was on second floor which didn't help as there is no lift, but it was my fault that I had not specified limitations.
Bedrooms and bathrooms along with the dining area were splendid.
Continental breakfast, for just 8 euros extra was good.
We arranged a late evening check-in and it all worked out great.
Excellent location in centre of Caen, with free on-street parking nearby between 6pm and 9:30am. Staff exceptionally helpful and our triple room was ideal as was a room with en-suite leading to separate room. Gave our daughter a little more privacy. On top floor, so be prepared to keep fit. En-suite compact, but had everything we needed. Hotel was tricky to find as in a street not suitable for cars, but we use a map rather than a sat-nav.
The room was very big nice and clean.
A small cooker for making tea and coffee would be perfect but just a small enhancement.
Parking is a bit cumbersome as you have to park in the street
