"Wir haben auf unserer Reise auf der romantischen Strasse dieses ruhige Familiengeführte, Gast- und Hundefreundliche Landhotel gefunden und schätzen gelernt. Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf Garten und Felder, Umgebung ideal für den Hundespaziergang. Das Bad mit einer Dusche und WC ist sehr klein, aber zweckmässig. Es ist in allem ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir genossen ein schönes Abendessen mit Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat alles was es braucht....

"The room was not fancy but there are not many choices in the area. It was nice to stay with reasonable price. The food was nice. I think the owner is also working as a chef. The area was also nice to walk around in the evening. It was nice to taste the quiet life in the farming area. It was a very unique experience. I want to stay in the same place again. "

"This hotel exceeded in every way. A gem. Very clean, family run. Same family also runs a great restaurant next door. Hotel is newer and very clean, great breakfast. We loved the place. Definitely would consider staying there again. Note: When mapping the location, be sure to use the town name of Pfahlheim, not Ellwangen."

"Countryside hotell in gorgeous surroundings. The rooms are clean, spacious and many rooms have access to terraces. We used the swimming pool which was excellent and well maintained. The restaurant and the food fit the place with large portions of tasty food. We enjoyed sitting at the restaurants terrace in front of the hotel until the late in the evening. "Didn’t like the check-in process with no staff and available and having to use WhatsApp to communicate. Upon check-in our air conditioning unit was not working during a heat wave. We were told to wait it out. We waited eight hours and it never kicked in. We were offered another room, but it would only be available for a portion of our stay. After several hours we decided to call Expedia to book another hotel. Expedia called the owner of Toploft. The room he previously offered was now available for the duration of our entire trip plus it had functioning AC. At 11 PM we had to pack up our belongings and move across the street to another unit. Extremely inconvenient. If you’re a tourist, this isn’t the property for you because the area is a far distance from main tourist locations. "
