Debbie was so helpful with any questions we had. The house was very well presented and clean. Loved our stay and when back in the area would absolutely love to stay again!
I do not understand why this property is on Hotel.Com After paying for it through the Hotel.Com website we needed to pay a further $95 for a cleaner & a $250 deposit in case of breakages to the owner. It stated a free continental breakfast however there was no milk, bread, fruit, yogurt etc - only margarine & jams along with weetbix & cornflakes. After travelling around Australia for the last month it was really frustrating to have to go out & buy shampoo, conditioner & body wash as these were not provided. There was only water in the soap dispenser in the downstairs toilet and we were only left 2 rolls of toilet paper for 4 of us to use in our 3 night stay. The worst part of this accommodation was there was no air conditioning! They had 3 units that you could fill with water ( we went & brought 2 large bags of ice to add to the units ) however this did not cool any of the rooms down - if you stood in front of the unit it cooled your body down however with 4 of us staying it was next to useless All 4 of us did not sleep much in the 3 nights we stayed. The owner was contactable & she did offer us a $10 voucher to use at the local café ( which we didn't bother with ) but that doesn't go far to fix the many issues we had. The house its self is lovely & recently painted with good furniture but as stated I do not think this is the type of accommodation that I would expect to see on this site.
What a cute little property. Loads of character and so well presented. Had everything we needed for our stay and so much more available that we didn’t have an opportunity to use (due to the nature of our stay). The communication with the owner was exceptional. The beds were comfortable and that kitchen was a real surprise. We will definitely keep it in mind when we head back up that way.
Really nice comfortable home. We stayed in winter and there were heaters plus extra blankets available so we were very cosy. 2 nice bathrooms and a lovely seating area upstairs where we had coffee and looked out over the Bay. 2 nice cafe's a few minutes walk away and parking on the drive for a car so it was nice and safe. A few hiccups on our arrival, but sorted out very quickly by the owner who also followed up to make sure it was all good. We will definitely come here again.
Quiet Relaxing Waterfront Home Close To Everything
We loved this place. So quiet, had the best nights sleep I can remember. Dozed off to the sounds of the waves on the beach and woke up to the sound of birds in the morning. Yet this beautifully decorated home is close to everything. No traffic noise here, very tranquil, especially considering it is in a busy city. The house has windows all across the front upstairs and downstairs which allow the cooling seabreezes in during the Summer, when we stayed.
There is always something to watch from the front balcony, birds, boats, people walking dogs. Plus it is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise - superb. We even got to enjoy a full moon over Moreton Bay, like you only see in movies, sitting low in the night sky and shimmering across the water. "That's Amore".
The house has lots of little extras that just make it stand out from other places we have stayed, and it beats a hotel/motel hands down. So much space for us all to spread out and lots to do without even leaving the house. We made many happy family memories here during our stay and I have already booked our next family holiday here. Highly Recommended.
