First of all, given the price, I have to say that this is a great deal.
The bed was comfy and clean, the pillows were just right for me and it was in a great location in Kemptown... only 2 roads from the sea front, you could see straight down the road to the beach.
However I did have a number of issues:
There is no reception, you need to check in online and you are then sent a code to access the front door and another to open a keysafe outside your room. A neat idea, but in my case it didnt work well.
I had to chase to get the codes (I booked en route to Brighton), and then when I did get to the hotel the keysafe code didn't work. I tried calling the number that was noted in the lobby, no response, I tried the mobile number I had, no response. I used Whatsapp to message... and got a response 30 minutes later - I had had to sit waiting for half an hour to be able to gain access to my room.
The wifi did not work, I was told that they knew it didnt work and there was an issue - but no explanation of what the issue was or when it would be resolved - it wasn't resolved during my stay.
Also the TV did not work, and in the process of trying to sort it saw how filthy it was behind the TV, housekeeping obviously only clean the visible parts of the room. THey did send someone to look and offered to try and replace it, but by this time it was around 8.30pm and I was ready to go out so didn't bother.
So not the best stay, but at the cost it is good value.
