"We enjoyed our stay at Brentwood in terms of the accommodation. The restaurant was closed and ‘The Pub’ was average at best. Our tiramisu was fridge freezer cold and had hidden parchment paper underneath.. we were not offered a refund and it put a sour taste on our eating experience. The location of the resort is great with plenty of parking and we walked to Butchart gardens."

"This was our third time staying at this property. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. This Inn does feel like it is a family business: staff take the time to engage in conversations, provide helpful tips and answer a multitude of questions. The rooms are quaint and include small fridge and microwave and bathrobes. You really cannot beat the location and the view. They also provide a very decent breakfast that you can bring to your room if you wish. This has become our go-to place...

"The Wessex Inn is well located on Cowichan Bay and very affordable compared to other properties. We experienced excellent service and found the remodelled room (with a king bed and kitchen facilities) clean and comfortable. The view of the bay from our balcony was a nice bonus. The location is excellent, conveniently situated right off Highway 1, making it easy to get around Duncan and the surrounding areas.
