We had an Expedia booking but they turned my colleague away as they had given the room to someone else. I called to confirm we would not be charged and they said to complain to Expedia, it had nothing to do with them. I said they needed to cancel the room in the Expedia system so I could get my refund. They said this had nothing to do with them.
I am concerned that the room is showing as checked in—the guest was not permitted to check in. Please advise on a refund.
The owners are very nice and obviously trying hard. However, the fumes and smell from the cleaning solutions used in the room and sheets was very overpowering and it was impossible to regulate the heat…room was very hot! So, sleeping was difficult. I felt safe and the room was clean.
