Hence there is no need to stay in the sub-par Fuggerhof where you are put into a basement room while the unfriendly front desk staff tries to up-sell you into an above ground room - as if that were a special feature. Just to be clear - there was no mention of below ground rooms during booking and the basement room wasn't a walkout basement but did have a small window at the top of the wall, eye-level with the grass roots of the ill...

"We loved our stay here! The large apartment was great for a family and the food at the restaurant was great! We were there for the castles and I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the lake! We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment. They had one fan and no AC. For the space two fans were needed as it was very hot the week we traveled. Only complaint was that the bedding area in the living room had no window coverings on the skylights and windows making it hard to sleep."

"The 4star rating must be a mistake even though we a lot per night to stay at the hotel. 1.We had a neighbour who watched tv at 11pm so loud that we could every word like it was in our room. Went to the reception but there was nobody on duty. Wentbto knock on the neighbour's door without any success.. not a nice experience when you waht to sleep. 2. Located right between the two castle and where the walking trails start and the horse drawn cart to the castle. Restaurant was excellent and priced similarly to other restaurants. On site parking. Nice breakfast buffet included. Very friendly staff and helpful. "
