"This is a great spot to explore a beautiful section of the Great Wall out of the hustle and bustle of Beijing. We were at the hotel on Labour Day (1 May to 5 May) which is typically a very busy time in China for all major attractions. The hotel and village were not overcrowded at all which was great. The Great Wall is a 20 to 25 minute walk from the hotel to the ticket purchasing area. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the ticket purchasing area. We got to the Great Wall at around 8:30am on 2 separate days to beat the tour bus crowds. The Great Wall was a highlight and was not overcrowded."

"Staying at this “home stay” was a great experience. The staff was very eager to please. It was so helpful to have them pick us up from Beijing in a very comfortable car and then drive us back after our stay. If you want to see the wall with almost no crowds, stay here. We arrived and did the cable car side in the afternoon. Our host advised this (and arranged for all tickets at no extra charge) as this side would be less crowded in the afternoon. He was right. We got up early and went to the other side at opening. It was amazing to climb the wall nearly alone. Phenomenal. Our family has wonderful, lifetime memories. Highly recommended!!"

"This was a beautiful homestay! The owner was lovely and very helpful explaining everything to us, good basic english aswell. The room was lovely and clean and it was only a 7 minute walk to the great wall! Highly recommend "
