Comfortable room, but really excellent location for a Beijing visitor considering the price -- between Tienanmen/Forbidden City and Wangfujing shopping district.
I had a slightly hard time finding the hotel, as I somehow at first approached from the backside. Once in the right place, no real language problems with the staff I interacted with. They put effort into the breakfast buffet which has Chinese and Western food.
Suggestion to the hotel: Provide a basic, paper English/Chinese map of the area including major landmarks and subway stations. I didn't see such a map, nor was one offered. The ban on google (maps), etc., means Westerners' usual ways of orienting ourselves are useless in China.
If you are an obvious foreigner, beware of scammers at nearby Wangfujing Street who will approach you and become instant friends. They will invite you to eat/drink (with you end up paying a big bill), to look at "their" artwork, to get a Chinese traditional medicine consultation, or some new scams of the future, with the aim of scamming you out of money. These scams (e.g. the notorious teahouse scam) seem to be a big business along Wangfujing pedestrian Street, as in certain other tourist spots in China.
