This was a last minute booking done after we were dissatisfied with restroom accomodations at Barirooms Central Station ( separate review online). Carulli Suites was a definite upgrade, primarily for having a private bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. Location was within walking distance of central bus and train station in one direction , and the old Bari Vecchia in the other direction along the promenade. It advertised a free breakfast, but we didn't see any evidence of it. There is no staff on site. Communication is primarily via text or Whatsapp.

Prédio muito velho, com elevador precário que deu medo. O quarto estav com cheio forte de esgoto vindo do banheiro e de madrugada o cheiro ficou ainda mais forte . Tivemos que abrir mão das diárias pagas pois foi impossível continuar ali. A very old building with sketchy elevators—it was terrifying. The room had a strong, foul odor coming from the bathroom, and the smell got even worse in the middle of the night. We had to forfeit the nights we had already paid for because it was impossible to stay there.
