"It is not where it says on the map. I turned up expecting to be in actual Banjul but I was somewhere miles away. They didn't have any rooms even though I was booked in. Took me to another place that was nicer but again, not in the location it said. "

Best value for good accommodation, Gambian owned, excellent beach location. Most people book 1/2 years in advance, but sometimes cancellations give availability nearer your dates

My first time at Roc Heights and I will definitely go again next time I am in Gambia. Omar and his team ensured that everything was done to keep me happy in the hotel and safe outside as a solo woman. In a quiet location away from the tourists but near enough to the beach for a short wander, the hotel is a haven of peace with delightful gardens either to eat breakfast of just sit and relax after a day's work. Most of the guests are working so the place is empty during the day. I didn't try the...

It was a nice and quiet location at Serrekunda. But in my first night some people held a wedding banquet downstairs, with loud music until midnight. The room was huge with super big balcony and unbeatable sea view. The restaurant served good food and I had all my breakfast, lunch and dinner there. But I needed to pay for the meals in cash in local currency, unless I could work out how to use the local mobile phone payment app, which I could not. I loved the direct access to the beach. But...

Amazing stay at one world. I was made to feel so welcome by Mustapha and his team. I had everything that I needed in my apartment and was able to use the communal kitchen to make food. The guest house was very close to the beach, which suited me really well, and having a pool was an extra bonus. Thanks to everyone at one world 🤗

Oh man, where do I start? Lemme start with Mariam, the ever helpful, cheerful receptionist. She is a credit to Metzy. Give her a raise, I say!
Baboucarr was another receptionist who went over and beyond for me. Barrow from Housekeeping kept my room squeaky clean.
The hotel is well located, walking distance from the beach which was handy as I was there every Wednesday jogging. The rooms, well mine, was L shaped and spacious. So spacious I could do my floor exercises right there and not outside...

Slightly out off that i didnt get the room i wanted and my booking had been misplaced because i was a day late. I was told they thought i had cancelled because i didnt show up. However, i still enjoyed my stay and tge staff are very approachable and friendly. I would definitely come back here on my next visit to the smiling coast.

Being out first time in Gambia, we didn't know what to expect but the hotel made us feel at ease, safe and overall made the holiday a lot better. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the UK can learn from these guys when it comes to customer service. The rooms were not bad at all, comfy beds, good ventilation/AC, nice views to the garden/pool/beach. The swimming pool bit was great and so was the entertainment. Food was also delicious, would highly recommend it to anyone! Also, it's nice...

Senegambia Beach Hotel came recommended by a family member and it didn't disappoint. It served as a perfect base to explore this incredible country. The hotel is set in a perfect location on the beach with the jungle spilling into the grounds, there's daily visits from native monkeys, vultures, tropical birds and the odd nile monitor. It's incredible to have this kind of wildlife in and around the hotel grounds when you wake up in the morning. Breakfast offered a good selection and there are...
