We chose this hotel because it was in the same district as the show Matilda we where going to see the hotel was not expensive it was a very good find really from checking in to checking out the staff where very good

HI Express BKK

This hotel is the absolute best choice if you have appointments at the Bangkok Hospital. It is a one minute walk from the nearest building and very affordable. The facilities are exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express property. The building is either newly constructed or newly remodeled. Everything appears less than 5 years old. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a daily breakfast option (recommended) from 6:30a-10:30a with too many options to list. The hotel restaurant has a menu full of variety as well, and is available thru room service also. Nightly 2 for 1 specials are available during happy hour. (5:30p-7:30p) There are several "cocktail" or "mocktail" options as well as chicken options at the street side bar attached to the hotel. There are also street food vendors and restaurants located between the hotel and hospital. There is a 7 Eleven and a Starbucks across the street. The fitness center is located on the second floor, where there are several other meeting areas available for use. The fitness center is available 24-hours and has dumbbells up to 25kg. There are 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and one stationary bike. There is a beautiful rooftop seating area on the 8th floor with semi private cabanas and restrooms. The rooms have key card access and are not quite soundproof, but the guests during my stay were not loud. If you have guests that are loud, this may be an issue.
