"The restaurant that is highly lauded in some reviews did not exist. Once there, the owner’s son tells me that they close the restaurant during the slow season….which was NOT disclosed when I booked. It’s in a very secluded area but a drive to restaurants about 15 mins away. There’s a restaurant next door, but the opening time depends on their mood, one day was 10am and next day was 11am. They were both weekdays. They don’t clean the rooms so I had to walk to front desk for new towels and water....

"SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort absolutely deserves five stars. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was exceptional. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making the stay unforgettable. The atmosphere throughout the property is peaceful and relaxing. It feels like a private sanctuary where you can slow down, breathe, and enjoy every moment. The amenities make it even better. The onsite restaurant offers a wide range of dishes with options for every diet, and everything I tried was delicious. The Muay Thai boxing lessons were a fun and energizing surprise. The pool area is stunning, the massages are top tier, and having direct access to the beach is the perfect way to start or end each day. If you want a resort that blends comfort, luxury, and authentic Thai hospitality, this is the place. I would come back without hesitation."
