"We had a great stay at Hotel Eltina! The hotel is extremely close to the beach, and about a 25 minute walk from old town Rethymno. "

"Advertising was misleading, there is limited dining, they stop taking meal orders at 16:45, we arrived at 6:30, to find out we couldn’t get dinner, no restaurants in walking distance. Beach is a long ways away, and not private."

"Beautiful location and ease of access. Unfortunately parking is hard if you organise a hire car. Amenities are beautiful and the welcome gifts and morning breakfast were great. Just off the main markets and plenty of fine dining options literally steps from the hotel."

"Our stay at Palazzo di Pietro was nothing short of magical. Tucked right in the heart of Chania’s Old Town, this boutique property offers the perfect balance of local charm and comfort. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a thoughtful fruit basket and local wine—a gesture that immediately set the tone for the kind of hospitality we’d experience throughout our stay. The building itself is full of character, beautifully preserved, and immaculately clean. Our suite had everything we needed, and the rooftop terrace was a peaceful retreat each evening. We loved how walkable everything was—from quiet beaches to incredible dinners, boat tours, and all the energy of the Old Venetian Harbor. Yet, the property remained calm and serene, offering a restful escape at the end of each day. As a frequent traveler with my daughter, I look for accommodations that offer more than just a place to sleep—and Palazzo di Pietro exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of stay that sticks with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone wanting authentic Cretan warmth, unbeatable location, and a truly special stay in Chania."

"This hotel is great and the breakfast and cleanliness are excellent. My only observations are that it would be great to have service around the pool and the storage space in the rooms definitely needs to be looked as, most of our clothes had to stay in piles on the floor. With that said I could go back to the hotel"
