Having stayed here over a number of years, we found the property is getting tired and needs a fished and modernisation. The dining option this year was quite limited compared to the past. Large travelling group came in for dinner and were served first even though we had been at our table for some 10 mins before they arrived.

Lovely room and bathroom. Lovely restaurant. The only thing we didn't like was the QR code for info about the hotel and restaurant, so we looked it up online. Prefer to have a printed version, however looking it up online was fine.

The rooms are great but because of a lot of dark timber - cupboards, desk etc the lighting towards bathroom, fridge area could be a bit brighter. The staff in the Restaurant were fantastic - a very busy night but their service, manner, helpfulness and cheerfulness and advice re wines etc was very much appreciated.

They have a barbecue area without any water supply, without lighting system. They had a electric light which had no switch and the light was not working. I informed at the reception, but no response. During bookings I have seen there was kitchen, but in reality no kitchen at all.

Stay away from this place

Thanks god we only stayed here for one night with my husband and two young adult children.There was nothing like it was advertised on the website.The whole apartment was run down and stank of smoke.Walls were dirty so do the windows and frames.The curtains were mouldy.We found a used bedding under the sofa.Our sheets were covered with stain spots.On top of it we were informed to collect snd discard all rubbish bags in the main container and wash the glasses and plates otherwise we will be charged for it.Nevertheless the fridge was filled with booze for purchase.This is a joke not a hotel.

Not worth the extra money

Booked a room that included bathrobes and heated bathroom floor. Neither of those were provided, neither was there any tissues, pen/paper or anywhere to put your luggage. When I mentioned this to the receptionist on checkout, she said they dont provide these things and blamed my booking agent for falsely advertising. However Rydges own website clearly lists bathrobes are provided in every room. She offered no apology and really had an attitude. Not worth the inflated price. Wont be staying at Rydges again!

I regret to inform you that our stay at Ridges Armidale from December 23 to 28, 2023, fell short of our expectations, particularly in terms of housekeeping and service provision. While the first day was satisfactory in terms of cleanliness, subsequent days witnessed a lack of home services, including the failure to provide essential items such as toilet paper and tissues. On the night of the 27th, we had to make a special request for these basic amenities and towels. Moreover, we were informed during key collection that there would be no home services on the 25th and 26th, with a promise of a $10 refund per person per day. Unfortunately, this refund has not been processed to date. Although our accommodation included breakfast, we experienced challenges with the provided items, with certain items being consistently empty. Despite reporting this to the attendants, refills were delayed, affecting the overall service efficiency. Considering the reputed status of Ridges Armidale, our five-night stay did not align with the anticipated level of service, leaving us disappointed with the overall experience. We hope for appropriate measures to be taken to rectify these shortcomings and to improve the service standards for future guests.
