I stayed at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel for a week in April 2026. On the positive side, the young staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was also next to major art museums and on the same street as designer shops like Hermes and Gucci. I believe the hotel was overpriced considering the condition and cleanliness of the rooms. My room had a beautiful view of the Rijksmuseum, but was a bit quirky. There was a large coffee stain on the bedsheets when I arrived. I had to report it twice before the sheets were finally changed a day later. The towel racks were abnormally high--over 6 ft. from the the floor. People with mobility issues must climb steep steps to enter the hotel, or take a rickety freight elevator. The showers have slippery floors and no grab bars. My hotel room door also had an unreliable lock. One day I returned to the hotel to find the door to my room unlocked. I was also charged an additional city tax on arrival, making the cost of the hotel $400 per night for a single room. Breakfast was an additional fee on top of that.
The staff was exceedingly accommodating. Breakfast was healthy and extensive. The room was small but workable for two.

The Leonardo Museum Quarter is in a wonderful prime location. Right next to the Rijksmuseum.
The P.C. Hoofstraat is full of lovely shops and there is much to see a short walk away.
A lovely breakfast was included. The staff were terrific.
Now however the rooms are tiny especially for two adults with two standard cases.
When sitting on the commode one's elbow bangs against the toilet roll dispenser. All the doors tend to bump into each other etc...
There were not enough towels for a two day stay. We said it was OK not to make the beds etc. however I am used to maintenance at least emptying the trash cans and replacing towels! I helped myself to towels off a cart in the hall as no one was in attendance.
The hotel is smoke free HOWEVER there is an inner courtyard (lovely) where staff congregate to smoke and the smoke drifts up into the rooms. A nuisance unless one has a reaction to nicotine smoke...
The hotel kindly arranged a taxi to Schipol on our departure day and we had time for breakfast as well A plus.
I must have misread the Taxi advertisement at the reception desk as i THOUGHT it said Euro 28 flat fee to Schipol. That is a good price.
We were charged Euro 55. A bit steep but understandable with traffic and congestion at 0800 hours.
So mixed report. Would I go back? Yes but would use different cases and Uber everywhere and ask for a room not overlooking the courtyard.
The room was smaller but ok for a solo traveler. The bathroom had a stale water smell (not sure where exactly from) and the sink faucet was leaky so it would constantly be dripping. Walls are also a little thin but ok. Otherwise pretty good stay, great location outside of the city center but still walkable to a lot of places.
Very glamorous and chic! Maximalist aesthetic- boutique. Warm friendly team, I would recommend this hotel as it’s perfect for a short stay where you plan to be out and about for the majority of your time in Amsterdam.
Rooms were small. Excellent location. Good breakfast, they even had gluten free options. Good internet. The bed was comfortable.
The entrance to the hotel is a steep stairway, it is complicated when you have to carry heavy luggage or you are old. Staff is very attentive.
The room was not in the best location but the hotel was. Very clean and great fist

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam. Museums, cafes, restaurants are within walking distance. Arrival-we reached the hotel around 12:30 pm. Prior to that I sent an email to this hotel if they can accomodate us a bit early since we came from Toronto which is almost a 10 hour flight including an hour layover in Frankfurt (Anastasia replied back). Room was not ready, had to wait until close to 2 pm which is actually the time of check-in. Housekeeping-requested on the 2nd day of our stay-it was done. 3rd day we skipped it and 4th day we requested again. We spent the full day out hoping when we come back to our room we can then relax after a long day of walking - nope! Room was not made up. Called front desk-Anastasia and she said they prioritize new check-in and that housekeeping will be done between 5-7 pm. This is a first for us. We travel frequently and usually, rooms are made up after 1 pm. Anyway, housekeeping came past 6 pm and we just asked the lady to remove the garbage and exchange the towels to fresh ones. She asked me to hand her the garbage as supposed to getting it herself. I asked her to come in and get it. If she’s hesistant to come in, she could have just asked permission and get the garbage. The one in the batbroom was not removed since she did not take it and was asking again for me to hand it over to her. Not a good experience with housekeeping.

La chambre était bien, la salle de bains un peu étriquée.
Het hotel ligt vlakbij alle bekende musea, de PC Hooftstraat en het Vondelpark. Openbaar vervoer is vlakbij. Prima uitgangspunt om de stad te verkennen

Staff at front desk was desorganized when we checked in as well as when we left. Lack of experience. The manager had to help.
