Zeer vriendelijk personeel en een goede locatie. Goede Wi-Fi. Ik had een eenpersoonskamer, het zag er netjes uit. Het is wel erg gehorig (oordopjes helpen) en even relaxen met de tv aan kan, maar enkel in het Duits.

It's a small simple hotel by the canal. Free coffee and water in the lobby lounge for guests. Location was perfect but at night especially weekend can be very noisy from the bar next door.

It’s impossible to sleep during night, the loud music from a techno bar goes on nonstop until 5:00am. When asked the concierge what can be done, the only offered solution was the ear buds.

Just spent a few days in Amsterdam and stayed at the Oscar. The hotel was great. Right on a canal in a very active area and within a block from shopping, restaurants, bars etc, The hotel is clean and very well kept. The staff are friendly and very helpful. It is about a 30-35 minute (70 Euro Uber) ride from Schiphol airport. If/when we get back to Amsterdam we will definitely stay at the Hotel Oscar again. I highly recommend it.

This hotel is incredibly noisy. Read all the reviews first - it’s next door to a famous night club that operates most nights of the week until 5 am - regardless of what floor you’re on, you will hear the music/bass.

I had an exceptional experience at this hotel. The unbeatable location made it convenient to access all the places I wanted to visit. I couldn't sleep because of the heavy bass from the nearby club all night long. If you know that Amsterdam is such a city and stay with that intention, I think it's the best.

Hotel was in a central location, but booming bass music from bar/ club across the canal went on until 4 in the morning. Don’t stay here if that would keep you awake.

Nice hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Beautified view of the canal from our room. Staff were nice, room was clean and there was an elevator. BUT there is a dance club attached somewhere and out of the three nights we only slept two. Do not stay there between Thursday and Sunday. We were there Wednesday night - slept, Thursday night the base was vibrating our room till 2am and the young people from Germany that kept slamming here room door was a lot to detail with but the worst was Friday night - base from the club kept us up until 5am Saturday morning! Not worth it, stay somewhere else.

Great location, walked to all touristy areas and attractions. Found the location just off the really busy streets which we really liked. Friendly staff. Rooms are small but nice and clean! Only downfall for us was the loud music playing near the building very late at night.

This is a good property in a really good location enough restaurants to last you several weeks. The only issue with this is the club behind. It’s open from 11 at night till four in the morning they can be quite loud but the hotel and the staff are great.

We mostly enjoyed our stay. We were in a room facing the canal. Lovely view. Staff were pleasant. Coffee machine was not usually running until after 8:15 am. It was noisy at night which may be a casino behind them background thumping sound. We were able to sleep but could understand some criticisms posted. The room was small clean, good shower. Reasonably priced for expenses Amsterdam. Easy walking to museums and other sites about 20 minutes away. Ample places for dinner and nice bakery at end of block turning right out front door. We would stay again.

Great hotel, great location!
Perfect hotel located on the Amstel Canal to walk and explore all of Amsterdam. Completely renovated and spotless. Very comfortable room. Great place to stay.

All good except: Fridge not working (warm), but main issue was CONSTANT POUNDING LOUD MUSIC from attached or close-by establishment until 3:30 am EVERY NIGHT. Headache inducing & impossible to sleep.

I liked the staff coutesy. The hotel was on remodelation and one structure in the front, obstructed the vuew of the river. On the nights, the service of free coffe it was not working. There was a message, out of work.

They didn't provide face towels or wash cloths Loud drumming music played somewhere in the area between the hours of 12am - 4am. Couldn't sleep most nights without being wakened up by the noise

we had a good stay, not perfect. the hotel room was extremely small, but clean and comfortable. our AC stopped working and the concierge did not try to fix it for us - they just told us it would be working again the next morning. we paid extra for a room with canal view but the hotel front was under construction/renovation, which blocked out entire window view and it was not informed in advance. would not stay here again..

Nice room with a canal view, but unexpected small - when you order a "deluxe room" - and very narrow beds. As friend - not a couple - we asked for 2 single beds, but in was only in theory, that they were single beds - impossible to move in them apart. A coat rack could be handy. You have to hang your coat in the television. Very friendly staff - and nice to be able to make tea or coffee in the room.

Can’t fault!
Amazing stay, hotel was clean couldn’t ask for more! Had one small issue - there is a club attached to the back of the hotel so had issues sleeping due to that. We purchased some ear plugs which helped a lot - hotel could possibly provide them.

Superbe hôtel en centre ville
Accueil souriant / hôtel très propre Hôtel très bien situé (attention toutefois à ceux qui ont le sommeil léger car il y a des boites de nuit à côté) Seul bémol : côté réservation nous devions payer sur place. Notre carte a été débité (d’une partie pour confirmer la réservation quelques jours avant notre arrivée. Et nous avons du payer la totalité du séjour à l’arrivée. L’acompte de réservation (non prévu) nous sera remboursé nous a-t-on dit d’ici 2/3 jours ouvrés.

Nightclub next door
The position of the hotel is great as it is very central. However please be aware there is a night club attached to the building that plays very loud music till 4am, including Sundays. So not much sleep. Also the rooms are very small. Bathroom was modern and very nice

Pas terrible du tout
Des taxes en plus par rapport au tarif indiqué sur hôtel.com et pas des petites minimum 35€ pour mon séjour 3 personnes. Pas de fenêtres dans la chambre et on entend la boîte de nuit qui est juste derrière le bâtiment comme si on était dans le carré VIP. A fuir !

Location was great. Walked from/to the train station .9 miles. Many times we were out and about and walked back to our room to go to the bathroom because you can't find public restrooms. Needed a key to get into the hotel so that was nice. They had a coffee machine in the lobby where you could make lattes which was very nice. Could rent bikes from their sister hotel 10 houses down. Would stay again.
