My stay at the Black Walnut Inn was absolutely wonderful! The inn is charming, beautifully maintained, and exceptionally clean, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel special from the moment you arrive. The way B&B's used to be with innkeepers who liked to interact with the vacationers; with a home cooked breakfast(s) that was near perfect (not boiled eggs and cold cereal); and with accommodations that were clean and comfortable. we will be back!

A previous gem of a place! We just happened upon this place and they had 1 room left. It was absolutely delightful! Cozy, historic, clean as a whistle, and with all the amenities you expect. The breakfast was cooked fresh, chickens right outside! And it was excellent. Everyone was friendly, and all went out of their way to make our stay seamless, welcoming and comfortable. Definitely recommend a stay here!

I’d definitely add that—it makes the review feel more personal: This was our second stay at the Black Walnut Inn, and once again, we had an amazing experience! This time we stayed in one of the suites, and it was absolutely amazing—beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The entire property has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful as well. There’s a reason we decided to come back for a second stay, and after this visit, we’ll definitely be back again. We highly recommend the Black Walnut Inn for anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway in the Amherst area!

The Inn is charming and in a great location. We stayed in the main house and were very at home. Breakfast in the morning was superb; the housekeeping and cooking were excellent. I definitely will stay again when I am in Amherst.
