What a treat it was, staying in this beautiful place, from the bountiful continental breakfasts (complete with friendly cat) to the blooming hydrangeas! Our bedroom and bathroom were well-appointed and comfortable (a standing fan was very welcome in the heatwave), and Aude and Rob were the most welcoming of hosts. We hope we can come back one day, and in the meantime we're recommending Le Manoir de la Maison to all our friends in France.

What a sweet little gem in the Loire Valley. From the time you enter the serene driveway to the beautiful home you are made to feel welcome. Our room was grand and Aude & Rob made you feel right at home. Breakfast was served in a magnificent room overlooking their horses. A short walk or quick drive into town where you will find many restaurants and smaller cafes. Please don’t hesitate to book. We cant wait to return.

What a gem. A little country estate just a 10 minute walk from du Clos Luce and 20 min walk to Chateau Royal. The owners Rob and Aude were wonderful. We walked into town each evening after visiting Chateaus in the surounding area and stolled home at dusk. We awoke each morning to the sound of cuckoo birds and a nice breakfast by the fire in the fireplace. Just delightful.

Best hostess ever!

The hostess/owner is fabulous! She went above and beyond to help make our stay in the Loire Valley run smoothly. She even drove us to and from the car rental agency! Breakfast is delightful, including home made jams, and the location is beautiful. I wish we'd had more time to stroll around the property. There is a small shared kitchen with plates/glassware, utensils and a fridge. Go to the Amboise market for picnic foods and dine al fresco on the property at one of the outdoor tables. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Stay

Beautiful quiet location, wonderful breakfast served by delightful hostess. We stayed 3 nights and would stay again if in the area.our accommodations were very clean and comfortable . There was a small kitchen for guests use also.

Room and property was spotless. Owner very kind and hospitable. Breakfast was fantastic, better then Paris. We enjoyed experiencing the country side of France. This was just the right location to walk a little after dinner. It was just far enough and close enough to downtown Ambroise. The property is wonderful. The Lamas and the cat were a special treat. I would highly recommend this B & B in the Amboise area.

The Manoir and property are nice. The rooms though, are very disappointing: no wifi, walls made of paper and you can hear your neighbor breathing, minuscule TV, no mini fridge, bathroom towels very rough. Kind of cheapo for the price paid. The lady owner is the nervous and jumpy type, she made us change seats at an empty breakfast room because “those were not our seats”, very weird, anyway. Its an OK stay but for the price, you can find better, with less hysteria.

I want to come back to France just to stay here again! And next time I want to stay even longer, and spend time wandering the grounds and enjoying the lovely ambience. Annick, the owner and hostess, was wonderful. She was so welcoming and has such a fabulous sense of place in her decoration and her approach. Plus she makes delicious jams! The llamas, horses, dog and cat are not intrusive, but add charm to the experience. The physical building themselves are just beautiful. And the plantings are lovely. From the moment you turn into the driveway, it is simply magical.
