The paseo walk to the designer lighthouse is a good way to walk off a generous buffet breakfast (didn’t take the Cava but it was there in plenty).

Lovely resort with multiple pools, beautiful Mediterranean location. This is a family resort first and foremost. Great for kids with performances, magic shows in the evenings until 10:30pm in the Bar Tropicana. Parents get to relax and have a drink while their kids have fun.
This resort did NOT work for our family of adults looking for a relaxing location, place for drinks and conversation. Visit happened during Eclipse so staff were swamped. Front desk, bar and servers worked hard but were stretched. We will not return because:
Rooms: Bare bones, not cleaned just tidied by housekeeping despite proximity to the beach. Towels left on the floor to be replaced after 2 days of use were just hung back up. Beach/Pool: Paying 4 € for a beach towel for the day was silly. Meals: breakfast buffet mostly pastries, some fruit, sausages and bacon, chaotic and short-staffed, coffee machines did not work sometimes; Bar and cafeteria was a nice break from chaos for lunch & supper, but limited menu (expect a fried egg with every meal!). Location: beautiful region with lots of shopping and dining options outside resort. Community works if you have a car. Taxi service is poor and except for 1 company who went out of their way to help, don’t rely on it to get to closest rail station in Alcala. We got one to the eclipse location but had to walk 90 mins back with our filming gear. From Valencia airport, hired a shuttle.
Modern 4* in lovely location, everything spot on for us. Of course the photos on the listing are clever, the gym and pool are much smaller irl; but still all good.
Local town is lovely too, plenty of nice restaurants and a market came on Tuesday.
Nice views, right at beach, safe place to park, pool rather crowded (many families) and also quite loud until midnight (children programs till ten and evening shows till midnight), but from then very quiet. Also very quiet between 2 and 4 pm. Great choice of fresh fruit at breakfast, the rest ok.
The hotel had a great atmosphere and it is pretty. Staff is not well trained and food is bearable.
reception: we had a terrible experience. Check-in was delayed. Staff was unfriendly. Didn't give clear instructions for spa and pool area. We kept asking about towels and they didn't have a clear answer. Turns out, you need to rent the towels, but they also did not say where or showed us the towels. We got a welcome drink for each person and when we order it, we had order all four together; it was non-alcoholic welcome drinks only; and there was only one option of drink, which was a mix of sugar syrups. If they are not welcoming drinks, just don't give it to people.
spa: Disappointing. It is paid to get in, even though it does not say in hotels.com and it is hidden in their website. It is only for 40m. Towels are not included. Spa was cold, and it is not a cozy spa.
main restaurant: Food was ok. You can always find something to eat, but far from good. Low end disney/cruise buffet.
pool bar: Food was really good at the bar (paid sandwiches). Service was not so good, but ok.
kidsclub: staff is great. timings are ok (could be longer). facilities are nice.
pool area: really nice, taken care of It was early May, so not too busy, which was very nice.
location: amazing; can walk to the beach, can walk to restaurants (10m for better options), and even to the center (a bit further).
Hotel is close to center of Alvossebre, easily accessible to the beach and multiple restaurants. Plus the on site facilities are great, particularly for families. We had a quiet break but that was our choice. Room was a great retreat in the hot weather.
Clean room, the smallest we’ve had on our 3 hotel stay in Spain. Unfortunately our sea view room was easterly facing, which meant no afternoon sun bathing on the balcony.
It is just an average hotel, average beach. Not up scale by any means. Not French/Italian Riviera. The quality displayed by the marketing does not reflect the truth of the property at all. Rooms are average at best-motel 6 like with a balcony. Breakfast and meals are overrun with people and completely chaotic. Hard to say how it compares to other option, but I would much rather return to Peniscola.
Fantastic hotel for families. Staff were so attentive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great location as located by the beach and walking distance to restaurants.
The food was awful, room basic, and no coffee, water or anything. Not 4 star.
