If I could give them 8 stars out of 5 I would. This place is a gem. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the guesthouse (which the owner designed) is beautiful. So beautifully decorated and warm and homey. The breakfast was perfect. HOMEMADE BREAD! and so many other choices. A perfect Icelandic breakfast. We are so happy we stayed there two nights. By far this was the best place we stayed at in Iceland!

Best place to stay in Akureyri

The stay is in the host's house which is new and immaculate. They are very friendly. The view out the front window is amazing. The photos simple don't do this place justice as everything is so nice and well decorated. The beds were the most comfortable of the 6 different places we stayed in Iceland. The hosts make quite a nice breakfast every morning with many choices. They own a few horses and we got to see a foal while we were there. For the price, this is an exceptional value and a great stay for those traveling the Ring Road. You will not get this combination of great features in any other stay in this price range.

A guest house that lives up to its name!

I cannot speak more highly of our stay at this guesthouse. It lives up to its name with truely stunning views, scenery only outdone by the wonderful hospitality and warm welcome we recieved. We came on my partners 40th birthday, which i let them know in advance - they made such a fuss of us on his Birthday, decorating our room and bringing us a birthday cake! The guesthouse is increadibly clean and the beds where soooo comfy (exactly what we needed after the drive from reykjavik!). Breakfast was also lovely, and getting to eat it with views that only iceland can offer was special. Close enough to the centre to Akureyri that you can access everything you would want from the city, but far enough away that you feel in a rural oasis. A truely special place, hosted by wonderful people. Highly reccomend.

This Guesthouse is a great place to be! We felt sooo well with the very kind and helpfull hosts. The Guesthouse is so beautiful decorated, everthing clean, a big bathroom and last but not least the extraordinary breakfast with all you can have, including the amazing delicous self-baked bread. We can highly recommend this lovely place.

We arrived to a private home. Waited 10 min or so as the owner/managers we grocery shopping. They arrived and were very nice. We then find out our room is just a tiny bedroom in someone's house without a view and a cat was on our bed. Hubby is allergic! None of this disclosed on listing. We ended up having to drive 1 hour away and pay 2x to sleep last night. Not happy at all.
