Liebenswerter, hilfsbereiter Vermieter, Zimmer sehr schön und groß, aber kein Meerblick weil EG; Frühstück mit Kaffeemaschine u. Bedienung aus dem Kühlschrank gut organisiert. Fußweg z. Meer und einer prima Pizzeria ca. 5 Min., dort auch Bushaltestelle z.B. nach Agrigento bzw. zum Tal der Tempel; in den Ort St.Leone am Meer lang ca. 15 Min., dort gute Restaurantauswahl

Great Stay!

The service and staff were amazing - they accomodated a late check-in, recommended near-by restaurants and even provided milk for our toddler at night! Breakfast is a bit bare bones, but good enough. Location is right on the beach and 9 minutes from the Valley of Temples. Highly recommended for the value and the staff!

Necesitas coche para llegar, parking gratuito, habitación cómoda y terraza para desayunar (desayuno correcto). Un poco difícil llegar. A 7 minutos en coche del Valle de los Templos.

Wirklich NUR ein Bed&Breakfast!

Die Pension liegt ca. 10Autominuten von Agrigento entfernt in San Leone. Die Rezeption ist laut Beschreibung 24Stunden besetzt - dies konnten wir leider jedoch nicht bestätigen. Wir kamen gegen 23.30Uhr an der Unterkunft an und standen 20Minuten vor dem verschlossenen Tor da der junge Inhaber des Hotels derweil in einer nahen Disco feierte. Dieser war auch nicht telefonisch zu erreichen, so dass wir uns durch Klopfen und Rufen ggü. anderen Gästen auf uns aufmerksam machten und diese ihn dann wohl kontaktierten. Nach Ankuft des Betreibers konnten wir jedoch sofort das Zimmer (welches direkt neben dem Frühstücksraum liegt) benutzen. In den ersten drei Nächten (Fr, Sa + So) konnte man im Zimmer trotz geschlossenem Fenster immer noch die laute Musik aus der nahegelegenem Disco hören. Die Lautstärke im Zimmer war sehr hoch, da man ein Quietschen hörte, sobald jemand im Haus den Wasserhahn aufdrehte. Lange Schlafen war daher oft nicht möglich. Das Frühstück konnte man je nach Belieben einnehmen da man es sich selber richten musste. Die Milch und die Brotaufstriche wurden im Kühlschrank im eigenen Zimmer gelagert - diese musste man dann in den Frühstücksraum mitbringen. Im Frühstücksraum findet man div. Cornflakes sowie Brötchen oder Croissants (welche teilweise das Haltbarkeitsdatum überschritten haben). Das benutzte Geschirr wurde jedoch durch das Reinigungspersonal gesäubert und aufgeräumt. Die Pension besitzt einen schönen Ausblick auf das Meer und auch zum Strand sind es dank Trampelpfad nur 5Minuten. Parken war ohne Gebühr direkt an der Unterkunft möglich, jedoch wurde man auch schnell eingeparkt und man musste einige Minuten investieren, bis man wegfahren konnte. Fazit: Eine kleine, teure Pension mit vielen Nebengeräuschen im Haus eignet sich nur für eine Nacht, doch nicht für einen längeren Aufenthalt.

Less than hoped for

The Oceano & Mare is located a few miles from the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. It overlooks the sea from a distance, but has no direct access to the beach. It is at the very end of a fairly long dead end drive, culminating in a steep grade road to the B&B. The on site car parking is limited inside a small, gated compound. The room was adequate, but cramped for 2 travelers with luggage, etc. The breakfast was Spartan, offering prepackaged cornetti, juice boxes, do-it-yourself coffee and dry cereals all provided self service in the confines of an extremely small mini-kitchen, comprised of 5 bar stools along a counter top. The space is so small that it is nearly impossible to pass other users of the space. While we were told that we could charge our bill on Visa/MC, their internet connections were out when we arrived, & upon departure, there was no one there knowledgeable enough to execute the charge, so we were stuck having to pay cash. (We found that many Sicilian businesses had myriad reasons why they couldn't accept credit cards during our 3 weeks on the island.) We were awaken early on our last day by pounding on the room door...workmen needing to bring their trucks into the B&B necessitated our vehicle being moved. All-in-all, a less than stellar B&B, & the low point of our overnight stays in Sicily.

Excellent accueil, B&B très bien situé pour la vallée des temples. L'équipement cuisine est parfait et rien ne manque. Le parking est fermé. Environnement très calme et proche de la mer.

Nur etwa 5 Min. vom Tal der Tempel entfernt

Das Oceano & Mare liegt etwas versteckt in der Nähe vom Strand von Agrigento, Navi ist empfehlenswert, aber nicht unbedingt nötig da es ausgeschildert ist wenn man San Leone (Stadtteil) erreicht hat, dadurch liegt es sehr ruhig. Wir wurden bereits erwartet und von dem Host der sehr gut Englisch spricht freundlich empfangen, Check-in ging sehr schnell von statten. Autos stehen sehr sicher in einem ummauerten Hof mit grossem Tor das Tor haben wir morgens zum Frühstück geöffnet und hatten einen wunderbaren Blick auf's Meer. Der Host ist wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit, er hat uns noch unser nächstes Hotel auf der Reise gebucht, wir würden jederzeit wieder dort absteigen wenn wir in der Gegend sind.
