The best value for your money. Absolutely no hotel can beat this place in Addis. This would be a 5 STAR hotel if it was located on the main street. Friendly staff, Great breakfast, super clean rooms, comfortable beds, walking distance to authentic restaurants and cafe's. I have stayed for 5 nights and now I am extending my stay.

Exceptional customer service. To further enhance the guest experience, it would be beneficial to include a chest refrigerator, kettle, and tea-making facilities in the room. Additionally, providing a few hangers in the closet and a safe for securing valuables would add to the overall comfort and convenience for guests

Hotel is very clean and the staff is very polite, but WiFi is horrible and it works half the day and when it works its crappy Tv is worthless bracket it not connected to WiFi nor satellite they promised to fix it 3 times but they didn't until i moved to another hotel

Exceptional Stay with Outstanding Customer Service!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The customer service was truly exceptional – every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome and well taken care of. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It’s clear that the hotel takes pride in maintaining high standards across the board. What truly stood out, though, was the team. From the front desk to housekeeping, the staff were not only professional but genuinely warm and helpful. Their hospitality made a real difference and elevated the whole experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable stay with top-notch service. After a wonderful one week stay at El Sol Hotel back in February 2025, we were very thankful to return to this lovely local hotel in Addis. Booking our trip to Madagascar meant we had to change flights in Addis and we figured: why not do a 2-day stopover in this Great city and visit some friends? It felt really amazing to be back at El Sol, with the very dedicated team, all very kind people. It felt like returning home. We hope to be able to come back in the future for a third stay! Thank you all so much!

The rooms are amazing, showers are terrible no partition between the shower and the toilet. The entire bathrrrom floor gets wet when you shower, this is a theme in Addis, why don’t they build showers with tub or partition ? No food service and the location is in a sketchy alleyway that no taxi can find. If this hotel was on Main Street it would be worth double.

Worth Every Penny

Elsol Hotel is simply incredible. The entire property is immaculately clean and tidy. The rooms, well appointed with all the amenities you need for a lovely stay. The staff were especially kind, warm, and friendly and made our stay there quite amazing. We'll definitely be back, next time we're in Addis.

Good apartment-hotel

Good place fir the price. All around, very resourceful and cooperative staff. Safe and secure place. However, neighbourhood doee not look safe place to walk during night time. Note the place is hotel-apartment, and it does not have basic hotel amenities such as restaurant , bar...free breakfast included. You have to eat lunch and dinner elsewhere. Wifi is hit and miss.

We’ve stayed 7 nights at El Sol at a wonderful spacious, clean room with a little kitchen. Communation behorehand about airport transfers was excellent. Unfortunately we had a one day delay (missed our connection flight to Addis), but all was well arranged for a pick up the day later. All staff is super kind and go out of their ways to give you the best time in Ethiopia. We hope to come back in the future. Thank you everyone at El Sol 🙏

Positives: 1. The room and the entire facility were very clean and comfortable. 2. The room looked exactly as pictured and was very spacious. 3. The beds were comfortable and clean. 4. Very fast in-room wi-fi with reliable connection at all times. 5. The front desk and door staff were very friendly and helpful. Negatives: 1. We were told after checking-in that breakfast will not be included as advertised because the room had a kitchenet. They said it was an error on the site that breakfast was listed as included on the specific room booked. 2. The TV did not work the entire time. We complained multiple times and were told it was due to the weather (even on clear days). We were asked why we didn't notify management when we said it never worked at check-out, even though we notified the manager on the day we checked in. 3. The hotel's party/event room was directly above the room we booked, and it was extremely loud on days there were events. We were told about this after we checked-in and told it would be okay since the events will end by 10pm. Overall, the hotel and people were nice, but I would have gone somewhere else if it wasn't non-refundable and already paid for. I ended up spending 50% of the time elsewhere so I didn't want to make a fuss, but was very much annoyed by all the last-minute restrictions and notifications.
