Three-Star Hotels in Khao Lak
There are some excellent three-star hotels in Khao Lak, all of which are affordable—even for those travelling on a budget. They are all independent hotels, and some are beachfront properties while others that are set back from the sea.
More than 30 hotels in Khao Lak are classed as three-star, with the majority located in the Bang Niang and Ban La On areas. There are also a couple of three-star hotels in Bangsak just north of the main tourist drag that offer travellers a quieter beach to relax on. Two three-star hotels are situated right within Khao Lak Lam Ru National Park, surrounded by stunning natural scenery and offering sweeping views of the Andaman Sea.
Nearly all of Khao Lak’s three-star hotels have an outdoor pool with sun loungers, nice gardens, and a restaurant. Some of these hotels also feature a spa, meeting rooms, and fitness facilities. A few of these are situated right on the busy Petchakasem Road with the others located on smaller streets nearby.
Three-star hotels in Khao Lak all offer modern rooms that are appealing to the eye and extremely comfortable. They are contemporary with traditional Thai accents and different room options to choose from. All rooms in these hotels have air-conditioning, cable or satellite TV and a private balcony, and the majority also have a refrigerator, a desk, and free Wi-Fi.
None of these hotels are more than a 15-minute walk from one of Khao Lak’s beaches or from a plethora of restaurants, shops, and bars. The only exceptions would be the hotels in Bangsak or Pakarang, which are less built-up areas than Bang Niang and Ban La On.
It is worth considering staying in a three-star hotel in Khao Lak because of the great service and amenities for an affordable price. Most of these hotels can book a tour to visit the sights in the area or enjoy some of its outdoor activities, such as snorkelling, diving, golf or surfing.
