"Fantastic stay at the Allanton inn. Bar and restaurant is great, especially having a drink in the large outdoor area. Staff are very helpful and extremely friendly. The bed in our room was a little hard but it this is a minor issue for such a great stay. "

"We were well looked after by members of staff. Breakfasts were really good with excellent choice. Bedroom was of a good size with good wardrobe & drawer space. The lower area of shower externally was not very clean!"

"The Amble Inn was very comfortable and dog friendly - however, there were no signs to advise where dogs were allowed to go in the restaurant area so needless to say my dog & I were asked to move! There should be a sign to let customers know! Breakfast choice was good but luke warm. The toaster was not user friendly. The choice at dinner was good but didn't taste anything like I was expecting - Venison Moussaka - which was smothered in so much tomato paste one couldn't taste anything but. The...

"This hotel is “ rustic “ a little and it is a pleasure to stay there. The room was big and plenty of drawers and cupboards. The bed was really comfortable. The service at the meals was amazing. Food great. Not a huge choice but easily enough to choose from. Would recommend this hotel. The only drawback is the difficulty of parking as the town is small and there are few places to park near. "
