Discover the stunning west coast of Madeira on a full-day tour!
Our journey begins in Câmara de Lobos, a charming traditional fishing village, where we make a short stop. We then continue to Cabo Girão, one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs at 589 metres, offering spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean.
Next, we visit Ribeira Brava, where you can explore the local market and enjoy a walk along the promenade. From there, we continue along the sunny south coast, passing through the picturesque village of Ponta do Sol.
We then drive up to the Paul da Serra plateau, Madeira’s largest highland area at around 1,400 metres above sea level. Crossing the plateau, we make our way towards Porto Moniz, located on the northwestern coast. Here, you can see the famous natural volcanic swimming pools and enjoy a lunch break (optional).
After lunch, we follow the scenic north coast towards Seixal, with a stop at the famous Véu da Noiva waterfall. We continue to São Vicente, surrounded by lush green landscapes and beautiful valleys.
On our way back to Funchal, we cross areas of Madeira’s native forest and stop at the Boca da Encumeada viewpoint. From here, enjoy impressive panoramic views over the valleys of both the north and south coasts.
We then return to Funchal, taking with us unforgettable impressions of Madeira’s diverse landscapes.
