What you can expect

  • Interesting tour on this aromatic route with a visit to the Hacienda de Cacao, a fascinating place full of deep-rooted customs and traditions that preserve intact its ancestral origins in the cultivation of cocoa and the production of homemade and traditional chocolate; They will be able to enjoy direct contact with the cocoa plantations, admire a variety of flowers and fruit trees, kapok trees, and learn directly about the fruit and seeds of organic cocoa and the various species of animals native to the “Homeland of Cocoa.” The ruins of Comalcalco constitute a necropolis from the classic Mayan period (from the 1st century BC to the 9th century AD) built with bricks and oyster shell stucco. This site is considered the westernmost of the Mayan culture and was developed between 700 BC. and 900 AD, the most notable characteristic of Comalcalco is the use of bricks in its construction systems, this is due to the lack of presence of stone materials in the region, in addition to being the furthest Mayan site to the west.
