What you can expect

PLEASE NOTE: The price varies depending on the number of participants.
For each additional participant, the price per person decreases: Adults from €75 down to €20 – Teenagers from €40 down to €10 – Children up to 10 years old always FREE.

Experience a journey through time on Mount Vesuvius, along the scenic Trail No. 9, “The River of Lava,” safely accompanied by the National Park's Official Guides.
The hike starts at an altitude of 570 metres (the entrance can be reached by car from Naples, Ercolano, or Torre del Greco, and by bus from Naples or Pompeii) and leads through a dense forest to the lava flow from the last eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 1944, where the extraordinary lichen “Stereocaulon vesuvianum” turns the landscape silver.
During the two-hour hike, your expert guides will introduce you to the biodiversity of Mount Vesuvius and share myths, interesting facts, and the volcanic history of this extraordinary area, all while you enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples and its islands.
Upon reaching the panoramic section of the trail, there will be a tasting of typical Vesuvian products: Neapolitan tarallo and Lacryma Christi DOC wine (or Vesuvian Aglianico) for adults, and croutons and juice for teens and children.
The route is easy and suitable for everyone, from children to adults, and guarantees safety, friendliness and attention for each participant.
The activity is conducted in a group, but private tours are also available on request.
