Make a silver ring. Discover the craft. Take home something truly unique.

At Wabi Sabi, our jewellery is inspired by the meeting of raw northern Norwegian nature and the urban character of Tromsø. Mingle is a collection about people coming together – different shapes, personalities and expressions finding their place alongside one another.

In our working jewellery studio, you’ll be welcomed with light refreshments and introduced to Wabi Sabi and the storey behind Mingle. Then it’s time to get hands-on.

With guidance from a goldsmith, you’ll begin by shaping silver wire into a ring using hand tools. Next comes a moment at the heart of our craft: the goldsmith melts the silver at high temperature, transforming it through heat and contact with a stone surface. You’ll then work on your ring yourself, shaping and finishing it by hand with guidance from your goldsmith.

The process gives each ring its own organic character. No two rings turn out exactly alike, and the final expression emerges through the interaction between metal, heat and craftsmanship.

No previous jewellery-making experience is needed. You’ll learn by doing, discover the feel of working with silver and take part in creating a piece that is uniquely yours.

Mingle is made to be worn together – mixed, stacked and combined, much like the people who meet around a café table or in a lively city. Your ring carries that spirit, along with a memory of the time you spent making it.

The workshop takes place in our own jewellery studio and is limited to groups of up to six people, allowing for a personal, hands-on experience.
