What you can expect

  • After the centre of the Kingdom of Mataram moved to Kartasura and there was a commotion of Chinatown, then Pakubuwana II who became the king of Mataram moved his palace from Kartasura to Sala Village. A more profitable place to rebuild his kingdom, so that in 1745 the kingdom was demolished and paraded towards the city of Surakarta which was located on the edge of the Bengawan River on February 17, 1745.
    Surakarta during the Dutch colonial period was the Vorstenlanden or Swapraja region, which is an area that has the right to rule on its own/not regulated by the law like other regions but with a political contract between the Governor General and Sri Sunan.
