On the programme: The written stone and the little-known storey of “Theopolis”, the legend of a lost city; Mediterranean and pre-alpine vegetation on the ridges; 360° views over the Durance valley and the Alps; The astonishing geology of the Haute-Provence Geopark: Pierre Écrite gorge, inverted reliefs and huge limestone bars; Aperitif at sunset on the ridges and return at first light.
Difficulty: Level 3/5. 2h30 effective walking time and 330m positive ascent during the evening. This is an all-public hike at a leisurely uphill pace, on well-marked paths and tracks only, with no steep gradients. The summit of the Gâche ridge may be uncomfortable for those with a sense of heights, but the width of the ridge line means that it can be kept well away. Suitable for families with children; special activities can be arranged for them. Please let us know when you register.
