Explore the world’s biggest collection of Ortler paintings and ice-climbing gear from two centuries. Learn about skiing, ice-climbing, and expeditions to the Poles. Discover the power of avalanches and the challenges faced by artists depicting the icy world.

Admire the architecture, designed by Reinhold Messner and Arnold Gapp, which resembles a glacier crevasse. Access the museum through an opening in a retaining wall, leading to a man-made cavern illuminated by a skylight.

After your visit, enjoy a meal at the Yak & Yeti, offering dishes from the Himalayas and South Tyrol.
