Begin your day with a visit to a area wet market. Discover fresh ingredients and learn about Chinese cooking essentials.

Next, dive into a hands-on Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) masterclass. Prepare the dough and wrappers, choose between traditional pork or vegetarian fillings, and master folding techniques and steaming methods.

Afterwards, enjoy a family-style lunch featuring your freshly steamed Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), two additional signature Chinese dishes (one meat, one vegetable), and steamed rice. Engage in a cultural exchange and Q&A session.

In the afternoon, create your own wearable art using traditional bamboo weaving techniques passed down through generations. (This bamboo weaving workshop has been featured in aruco, the popular Japanese travel guide series by “Chikyu no Arukikata,” highlighting authentic cultural experiences for travellers in Shanghai.)

Finally, learn the art of Chinese tea ceremony while sampling 6 distinct tea varieties and understanding their cultural significance.
