Your evening starts around 7:30 PM with an easy meetup in the Former French Concession. After a quick chat to understand your vibe — curious, playful, spiritual, or just ready for something new — your local host brings you into a TCM-themed bar unlike anything you’ve seen.

In this dimly lit, herbal-scented space, a real traditional Chinese medicine doctor will take your pulse and give you a brief wellness reading. Based on your body’s balance of yin and yang, you’ll receive a custom-made cocktail, crafted with medicinal herbs, floral infusions, or warming spices to match your constitution.

Next, you’ll follow your host into Shanghai’s hidden lanes to visit a Chinese divination cocktail bar. Here, you’ll draw a fortune slip or tarot card based on local traditions. Your reading determines the cocktail you receive — each one themed around luck, destiny, the Five Elements, or a blessing.

Your host helps translate menus, explain the cultural symbols, and share fun stories about Shanghai’s spiritual subcultures. The night is flexible: stay longer in a place you love, explore additional bars, or simply enjoy conversation as you walk through atmospheric streets.

Drinks are included, and the experience is designed to feel warm, personal, and full of delightful surprises. You’ll also receive a digital guidebook with more hidden bars and cultural notes to continue your adventure.
