You sail from the northern marina of Hvannasund on Viðoy. You explore the seashore of Borðoy towards the remote village of Múli. You continue west along the steep Múli headland before you cross towards the Viðoy island. By the Viðoy shore you sail by spectacular gorges and sea-caves, perfect for photography.
You may see many species of birds such as including Puffins, Black Guillemot, Fulmar, Arctic Tern, Kittywake and Guillemot. You will also learn about the birds. Where do they nest, where do they find their food and where do they migrate to? How have birds been a resource to the locals in the area?
The area is a natural habitat for grey seals and they can often be seen in the water close to shore or upon the bedrock when they are resting.
