What you can expect

  • We depart from San Pedro or San Juan La Laguna. We have several meeting points and normally depart from one of them. We then travel by car for 30 minutes to another town, where we start our sunrise hike. The trail is 1.2 km long and takes 45 minutes to climb. When we reach the top, we wait for the sunrise and share a hot drink. After sunrise, we descend to the van and continue to Chichicastenango. The journey to the market takes an hour and a half. Our guide joins us for a walking tour of the judge traditional market. We then visit the Catholic church, market point view, mask factory, and cemetery. After the tour, we take you to a local restaurant for lunch, which is not included in the price.
    We return to San Juan or San Pedro around 3:00 PM.
