Day 4
Departure from Baños to the heart of the nation, Riobamba.
Visit the traditional market in Guamote, one of the largest and most colourful markets in the country, to see the different products sold by the Kichwa people.
Enjoy a lunch prepared by the members of an indigenous community that lives inside Sangay National Park, located at 12,500 feet above sea level.
Hike through the Ozogoche Hills, exploring an area with more than 45 lagoons and observing páramo wildlife in breathtaking landscapes.
Disembark in the town of Alausí.
Day 5
Meet at the train station.
Enjoy the adventure of the world's most difficult railway journey, the Devil's Nose Train.
Enjoy a traditional local lunch.
Visit to the Cañari-Inca ruins of Ingapirca for a tour of this archaeological site.
Before arriving in Cuenca, visit the Turi vantage point, where you can enjoy an incredible view of the city.

Once on the Pacific coast and in the warmer climate, stop at a cocoa hacienda to learn all about chocolate, from the flowering of the tree to the final artisanal production process.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the cocoa hacienda, introducing your palate to the local cuisine of the coast.
