What you can expect

  • Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure on the world's highest navigable lake: the majestic Lake Titicaca. This full-day sightseeing tour will take you to discover the magical Floating Islands of Uros, where you will learn about the ancestral life of a community that has managed to coexist with the waters for centuries.

    Then, let yourself be surprised by Taquile Island, a place full of traditions, breathtaking landscapes, and a textile culture that is a World Heritage Site. All accompanied by an expert guide in Spanish and English who will reveal the secrets and legends of this fascinating destination to you.

    • 7:30 a.m. Visitors are picked up from hotels and/or the bus station.

    • 8:00 a.m. Departure to the floating islands of Uros. 8:20 a.m. Arrival at the Uros Islands, where you will visit two floating islands. The tour guide will give information about the construction of these artificial islands for approximately 20 minutes, and then you will have free time to buy handicrafts or take a ride in a handmade boat made from totora reeds (optional). After that, you will continue the trip to Taquile Island.

    • 11:00 a.m. Arrival at the wharf in the north of the island. Upon arrival on the island, the group enjoys a one-hour walk to the village. Along the way, the tour guide will explain the traditions and life on the island.

    • 12:15 pm Arrival at the main village of Taquile. We will visit the main square
      and the artisan market. At 12:00 PM, lunch at a restaurant chosen by the tour guide. After lunch, visitors will have free time to take a
      short tour on their own.

    • 2:30 p.m. Drop-off to Puno from the main wharf (538 steps down).

    • 4:00 p.m. Arrival in Puno, where transport awaits us to take you to your hotels.
