St. Mary's Cathedral
  • 20m
St Mary’s Cathedral is one of Sydney’s most iconic and historically rich landmarks, and it’s a gem for anyone passionate about storytelling and heritage. Located on St Mary’s Road near Hyde Park, the cathedral stands on the site of Australia’s first Catholic chapel. The current structure, designed by architect William Wilkinson Wardell, is a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture, built from local Sydney sandstone. Its twin spires, completed in 2000, make it a striking presence on the city skyline.
Mrs Macquarie's Chair
  • 30m
Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. This chair is not a real chair, but a seat made out of sandstone, carved by hand over 200 years ago. It was made in 1810 for Mrs. Elizabeth Macquarie, the wife of Governor Lachlan Macquarie – one of the early leaders of New South Wales Mrs. Macquarie loved this area. Back then, there weren’t many buildings around – just trees, sky, and the sea. She would often come here to sit and enjoy the view of the harbour. So, the workers carved this seat into the rock just for her, as a quiet place to relax. Even today, the view from this spot is one of the best in Sydney. From here, you can see: The Sydney Opera House, : Explain about Opera House The Harbour Bridge: Explain about The Harbour Bridge And often, sailboats gliding across the water." "It’s a perfect place for photos, especially at sunset – so don’t forget to get a few shots!
Bondi Beach
  • 1h
Bondi Beach – spelled B-O-N-D-I – is one of the best-known beaches in the world. The name comes from an Aboriginal word that means ‘water breaking over rocks.’ It’s a beautiful stretch of golden sand, about 1 kilometre long, and it’s loved by both locals and visitors. This is the place where people come to surf, swim, sunbathe, and just enjoy the fresh ocean air. Even in winter, you’ll see people walking, jogging, or grabbing a coffee with ocean views. Bondi is at the heart of Australia’s surf culture. You’ll see surfers out there almost every day, catching waves. Some are professionals – others are just learning. And if you ever wanted to try surfing yourself, this is one of the best places to take a lesson!
Gap Park
  • 30m
“The Gap” is a dramatic ocean cliff located in the eastern Sydney suburb of Watsons Bay. It's one of Sydney's most iconic natural landmarks and offers breathtaking views of the Tasman Sea. The Gap is a sandstone and shale cliff face, part of Sydney’s rugged coastline. It rises around 80 metres (260 feet) above sea level and provides panoramic views out to sea, especially stunning during sunrise. It’s not a beach or a swimming area — this is a cliff edge, with powerful waves crashing below. It’s raw, dramatic nature on full display.
