Kompong Phluk, situated on Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, spans 10,000 square kilometres during the wet season and shrinks to about 3,000 square kilometres in the dry season. It is bordered by five Cambodian provinces: Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, Battambang, Pursat, and Kompong Chhnang. The lake experiences seasonal water flow changes: from May to October, water flows from the Mekong to Tonle Sap, and from November to April, it flows back. Tonle Sap is home to thousands of bird species and hundreds of fish varieties, which support local and regional economies. After Angkor Thom, we will go to Bayon temples (Smiling Temples) built in the late 12th or early 13th century by Buddhist King Jayavarman VII standing right in the middle of Angkor Thom Capital. Bayon become very competitive in terms of tourist favour and a very high trip advisor ranking with Angkor Wat because it smiles at you the whole time. Ta Prohm

After finishing Angkor Thom Capital we will head to Ta Prohm which takes us about 15 minutes to drive, and along the way, we will stop by the stone bridge to see a lovely tree growth on top of the bridge. We will stop for lunch before exploring Ta Prohm near to Royal swimming pool. After lunch break we explore Ta Prohm, meaning (Ancestors of Brahma) built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII and it is a Buddhist temple. Ta Prohm well known as (Tomb Raider temples) this temples getting very famous after the film Tomb Raider was filmed. Our tour guide will tell you more details during your tours.

Beng Mealea

Our guide and driver will meet you around 9 am and will proceed to the temple, the trip will take around one and a half hours to get to Beng Mealea, along the way you will see a lot of local activities for their everyday life. we will stop by the little store that sells bamboo sticky rice, local people called it (Kalan) sell bamboo sticky rice as part of their everyday income to support their families, after we will head to Beng Mealea. Beng Mealea means (lotus pond) built in the early 12th century by Hindu King Suryavarman II, Beng Mealea is known as the Great Jungles temple, very unique because this temple mostly collapses but there is full of tree growth inside the temple and especially overgrowth by the jungle. you will feel very peaceful when you walk around these temples especially when it fewer tourists around you. you will to know details with our professional tour guide.

Day 4: Day 4 begins with Preah Vihear temple

Preah Vihear Province

Preah Vihear is one of the most beautiful located along with Cambodia - Thailand border, Preah Vihear was listed as a world heritage site in 2008 which was a conflict between the Cambodian and Thai armies fighting for territory and temple. The war started in 2008 and ended in 2011 after Cambodia won at ICJ. Preah Vihear was built by 3 kings and it took over 300 years to build, Yasovarman I (889-910) in 893, Suryavarman I (1002-1049), and finally complete by King Suryavarman || (1113-1150) which known as the King who built Angkor Wat, located on top of Dang Rek mountain 550 metres high. The main purpose of the temple is the mountain temple which is the symbolism of the sacred mountain "Meru" which is the abode of all the gods of Hinduism. From Siem Reap, we drive across many local villages, plantations, and a lot of local activities along the way. It takes around 3 hours each way.

Koh Ker Temple

After Preah Vihear we will drive around 2 hours to get to Koh Ker, along the way we can see many types of local plantations such as tapiocas, mangos, pepper, bananas... etc. Koh Ker is an old ancient Khmer Capital city from 921 - 944 by King Jayavarman V from 921-942 and his son Harshavarman II role from 942-944. Koh Ker is known as the Cambodian Pyramid temple, 36 metres high and on top, there is an impressive shrine with two metres high Lingas. Our guide will explain more about these temples while the tour is there. You could get to the top of the temple to get a nice view with amazing fresh air. After we finish Koh Ker we will head to Prasad Pram five towers temples, the amazing of this temple is there are trees growing up on top of the temple. The best tip was seeing temples in Koh Ker are very quiet, Off beaten track trip.

Day 5: Day 5 we begins with Banteay Chhmar temple

Banteay Chhmar

After we meet at your Hotel at 8:00 am we will proceed to Banteay Chhmar temples, located in Banteay Meanchey province around 150km from Siem Reap city. We will spend at least two and half hours from our Hotel on road N6 proceeding west of Siem Reap, we will definitely see a lot of local activities, rice fields beautiful landscapes with our fluent English-speaking drivers/guide will explain you everything you see on the roads for the trip to Banteay Chhmar temple. Banteay Chhmar was accomplished during the reign of King Jayavarman VII like Angkor Thom Capital in the late 12th to early 13th century, by King Jayavarman VII built these temples to dedicate to his son who died before him. Banteay Chhmar is really an isolated temple but very unique with tree growth around the temple which makes the temple tour very interesting and unforgettable.

Battambang

After we finished Banteay Chhmar we will drive directly to Battambang province. We will visit Battambang city. We will visit Phsar Nut, French quarter, Wat Domrey Sor pagoda and in the late afternoon we will visit Bat cave at Phnom Sampov but before bat cave we will walk up to the top of Phnom Sampov to visit some pagoda and killing fields. We will stay overnight in Battambang province.

Day 6: Day 6 we begins to drive to Phnom Penh

Royal Palace

The Royal Palace in Phnom Penh in 1866 is a comparatively recent event in the history of the Khmer. The seat of Khmer power in the region rested in or near Angkor north of the Great Tonle Sap Lake from 802 AD until the early 15th century. After the Khmer court moved from Angkor in the 15th century due to environmental problems and ecological imbalance, it first settled in Phnom Penh which back then named Krong Chaktomuk Serei Mongkol 1434 (or 1446) and stayed for some decades, but by 1494 had moved on to Basan, and later Longvek and then Oudong. The capital did not return to Phnom Penh until the 19th century and there is no record or remnants of any Royal Palace in Phnom Penh prior to the 19th century. In 1813, King Ang Chan (1796–1834) constructed Banteay Kev (the 'Crystal Citadel') on the site where the current Royal Palace stands. After Ang Chan, the capital was at Oudong, about 40 kilometres to the northwest, until in 1866 his nephew, King Norodom, returned to Phnom Penh.

National Museum

Our next stop is the National Museum. George Groslier (1887–1945), historian, curator, and author was the motivating force behind much of the revival of interest in traditional Cambodian arts and crafts, and it was he who designed this building that is today ‘traditional Khmer architecture. It is perhaps better described as a building enlarged from Cambodian temple prototypes seen on ancient bas-reliefs and reinterpreted through colonial eyes to meet the museum-size requirements. The foundation stone for the new museum was laid on 15 August 1917. Some two-and-a-half years later, the completed museum was inaugurated during Khmer New Year on 13 April 1920 in the presence of H.M King Sisowath, François-Marius Baudouin, Résident-supérieur, and M. Groslier, director of Cambodian Arts, and Conservator of the museum. The original design of the building was slightly altered in 1924 with extensions that added wings at either end of the eastern façade that made the building even more imposing.

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

After we finished the national museum we will continue to Toul Sleng Genocide Prison. Toul Sleng prison Pol Pot converted a high school into a Prison it was ( Tuol Svay Prey High School ) but in March or April 1976 this high school became prison and an interrogation centre. From 1976 to 1979, an estimated 20,000 people were imprisoned at Tuol Sleng. At any one time, the prison held between 1,000 and 1,500 prisoners. They were repeatedly tortured and coerced into naming family members and close associates, who were in turn arrested, tortured, and killed. In the early months of S-21's existence, most of the victims were from the previous Lon Nol regime and included soldiers, government officials, as well as academics, doctors, teachers, students, factory workers, monks, engineers, Prisoners' families were sometimes brought en masse to be interrogated and later executed at the Choeung Ek extermination centre. After we finish prison the tour has ended and the 7-day journey is completed.
