What you can expect

  • Discover the wine culture of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia on a relaxed tasting experience designed for travellers who want more than a simple cellar visit.

Meet your local guide near the riverside in Gaia and begin with an introduction to the history of Port wine, the Douro Valley, and the connection between Porto and its famous wine cellars. During the experience, visit a traditional wine cellar and learn how Portuguese wine is produced, aged, and enjoyed.

You will taste a total of 6 Portuguese wines, carefully selected to show different styles and flavours. The experience also includes a visit to a local wine boutique, where you can discover more about Portuguese wine beyond the classic tourist routes.

To make the tasting more complete, enjoy a cheese board with olives, perfect for sharing with the group while learning how wine pairs with local flavours. This is a friendly and accessible experience, ideal for first-time visitors, couples, friends, and anyone who wants to enjoy Porto’s wine culture in a more relaxed and personal way.

The tour combines wine, local stories, a cellar visit, a boutique tasting, and traditional snacks, offering a complete introduction to the flavours of Northern Portugal.
