What you can expect
Spend three days in the San Blas Islands with two nights on Yani Island, also known as Isla Yansailadup. Enjoy meals, return boat transfers from Cartí and an included departure-day excursion to Isla Misdup and the Natural Pool. For more island exploration, add an optional Cayos Holandeses excursion during checkout.
Your Room
Stay in a simple private bedroom inside the island’s main building. Wooden partitions separate the rooms, with open space above the walls for ventilation, so sound carries between rooms. Bathrooms and showers are shared. Facilities and electricity are limited, making this stay best suited to travellers comfortable with rustic island accommodation.Day 1: Arrive on Yani Island
Meet at the designated Cartí port for your included shared boat transfer, approximately 30 minutes depending on sea conditions.If you select the optional car transfer from Panama City, pickup is generally between 5:00 AM and 5:45 AM, followed by a 2.5–3-hour shared 4x4 journey through the highlands.
Settle into your room and enjoy the beach. Lunch and dinner are served on the island, with time between meals to swim and unwind.
Day 2: Beach Time or Optional Cayos Holandeses
Enjoy breakfast before a day at your own pace. Swim, relax beneath the palms or rent a SUP board separately.Alternatively, select the Cayos Holandeses excursion during checkout for $80 per person. This optional boat excursion requires at least two participants and depends on weather and ocean conditions. Your island hosts will coordinate the schedule and meal arrangements. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
Day 3: Misdup and the Natural Pool
Enjoy breakfast and check out of your room by 8:00 AM. Spend more time on the island before lunch and your included afternoon boat excursion.Visit Isla Misdup for its sandy beach and sandbank, then explore the Natural Pool, a shallow offshore swimming stop. Water depth varies with tides and sea conditions. A mask and snorkel are provided during the excursion.
Return to the mainland afterwards. If you selected the optional car transfer, continue to Panama City, arriving around 7:00 PM depending on traffic and conditions.
Meals are simple island dishes, typically fish or chicken with sides. Request vegetarian alternatives in advance; choices depend on available ingredients. Drinks are extra.
This is a hosted island stay. English is not spoken by every host, and boat activities may change with conditions. The optional Cayos Holandeses excursion is separate from your included departure-day tour.
Bring your original passport, cash, a towel and toiletries. The Guna Yala entrance fee and optional extras are excluded.
