What you can expect

The 3.5-hour tour starts at 10:30 am at the Canale Grande. From here, we'll start our journey through the alleys of Trieste, following in the culinary footsteps of the Habsburg monarchy. We'll visit the oldest coffee houses in Trieste and taste the delicious dolci and the typical Nero in B. Then we'll head to a very special wine shop in the city. We'll find out which wines the emperors and empresses enjoyed. Emperor Franz Josef loved simple cuisine, and we'll get a little insight into it at one of Trieste's most authentic buffets.
