Know before you book

  • Pick up details will be sent to your email within 24 hours after we receive the booking. Kindly make sure you have inserted the hotel name or accommodation address on your booking.
  • If pick up/drop off at your hotel entrance is not available we will provide a near meeting point.
  • Hotel pickup transport is made with a driver, on a bus or minibus, previous to tour start time depending on your hotel location (normally between 07am to 09am). The driver will take you to the meeting point where your guide will receive you and start the tour.

Olhão is nestled in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, home to the second-largest fishing port in the Algarve. The town's traditions are rooted in fishing, salt extraction, and shellfish gathering, all part of the locals’ daily life.

Explore the Ria Formosa’s labyrinth of canals, islands, and sandbanks, stretching along 60 km of the Algarve coast. This wetland is a crucial natural environment for both wildlife and the local “Olhanenses” who enjoy its stunning barrier islands and pristine beaches.

Be a local for the day by taking the ferry to Culatra Island, where you can relax on its spectacular beach. Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring freshly grilled fish and local clams. On your return trip, take in the scenic views of the Ria Formosa on the local ferry.
