What you can expect

  • This circular route offers a perfect balance of mountain scenery, altitude, and flowing roads — all enjoyed at your own pace.

Your experience begins with a Meet & Greet and detailed briefing in Camacha at 11h00, where our instructor will adjust your Radon Solution Hybrid 8.0 CX 500 e-bike for comfort and explain the Garmin GPS navigation system that will guide you throughout the entire loop.

Leaving Camacha, the route climbs gradually through eucalyptus forests and quiet mountain roads towards Poiso, an area known for its cooler temperatures and deep green landscapes. This first section features a long, steady ascent, made smooth and manageable thanks to the electric assistance, allowing you to enjoy the scenery without pressure.

At higher altitude, the route levels out into rolling terrain, offering expansive views across Madeira’s interior before transitioning towards the Terreiro da Luta. This iconic road is a favourite among local cyclists, known for its open panoramas, flowing curves, and rewarding riding experience.

The return to Camacha follows a scenic descent and rural backroads, completing a true loop ride that showcases Madeira’s mountains, forests and inland character. Throughout the tour, the Garmin GPS system ensures easy navigation and complete independence.

This self-guided experience is ideal for riders seeking a more immersive and scenic mountain route, combining challenge, nature and freedom — without the constraints of a guided pace or transfers.
